I agree, and THAT needs to be talked about too. I have always said->
and lived by that mantra in my younger days, that the time to prove you are a man is NOT when the lights are in your rear-view mirror and a cop with a gun, a stick (in those days) and a radio to call 50 of his friends stops you...
Too many people (of ALL colors) seem to think THAT is the time to prove your manhood....BIG MISTAKE.
NOW, I am NOT a black man so i cannot know what that fear of being shot is like. Nor am I a cop, so I'll never know the adrenaline flowing and the angst and fear THEY feel when someone resists arrest.
I DO know that the chances of things turning ugly do WAY down if you do as they ask, I always figured you could fight it later!
THAT is what the guy speaking meant about having to have a 360 conversation, and looking at it from BOTH perspectives...something we seem unwilling nas a society to do.
